Karen Cumming  - Journalist, Health Promoter, & Teacher will speak about her family’s experience, and about the book that she has written, in collaboration with her sister.

The book was inspired by a feature article that she wrote for The Spectator earlier this year about her family’s journey through the long term care system with her mother, and what a roller coaster ride it was. 
 
The book she has written is a survival guide designed to help families navigate what is a very confusing and complicated system.
It’s called “The Super Fantastic Survival Guide  to Ontario’s Long Term Healthcare System - Practical tips to help you and your family be proactive and prepared”.
