February 16 - Dr. Karen Trollope-Kumar

From Dr. Karen Trollope-Kumar:
The title of my talk is "Voices from the Himalayas". I am a family physician who married an Indian pediatrician. We lived in the Himalayan foothills, where we were involved in 11 years of medical work in this remote part of India. I'll talk about my experiences of family life, and how I learned the language and customs of a different culture. I'll also reflect about the lessons I learned during those years, describing how these lessons relate to experiences that we all face.
I have a beautiful PowerPoint of images from the Himalayas. The talk is engaging, and has been received well at several different Probus clubs.
